The Arduino MEGA2560 clone is a microcontroller board, based on the ATmega2560. This board has:

54 x Digital input/output pins (of which 14 are suitable for PWM outputs)
16 x Analogue inputs, 4 UARTs (hardware serial ports)
16MHz crystal oscillator
Flash Memory 256KB (8KB already in use by the bootloader)
USB connection
Power jack
ICSP header
Reset button

The microcontroller board can be connected via USB, an AC-DC adapter or a battery. This board is compatible with most shields designed for the Arduino, Mega Duemilanove or Diecim. The Arduino Atmega 2560 clone features a CH340G USB-to-Serial chip.
